SUMMARY:Example of a project combining advanced manufacturing\, aerospace and textile: automated production line of textile composites for aeronautical applications.
DESCRIPTION:Example of a project combining advanced manufacturing\, aerospace and textile: automated production line of textile composites for aeronautical applications. \nAbout the session:\nComposites for aeronautical applications have been developed for several decades and their implementation has been largely mastered. It is wide-body aircraft\, performance-oriented programs that have led to an increase in the use of composites in aero-structures. Thus\, the designs\, processes and means of implementation developed correspond to this field of application. The state of the art in the manufacture of composite structures cannot be transposed in this as-is state to production rates of 5 or 6 times higher. IRT project evaluates the ability of textile technologies to meet high production rates of the aeronautics industry for large scale parts and complex geometry. \n \n \n \n \n \n Agenda:\nDay: April 30th 2021Schedule:  11 am to 11.45 am CEST (Brussels time) \n\n5 min intro and welcome by EMC2\n25 min “The Wing project – automated production line of textile composites for aeronautical application”” by Marie Weiss (IRT Jules Verne) and Olivier Preziosa (IRT Jules Verne)\n15 min Q&A\n\nAbout the speakers:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n				 Marie Weiss\, Head of Europe Unit (IRT Jules Verne)\nMarie Weiss is Head of Europe Unit at IRT Jules Verne. SUMMARY:Advanced manufacturing technologies for improving textile product environmental and social sustainability.
DESCRIPTION:Advanced manufacturing technologies for improving textile product environmental and social sustainability.Towards the smart Industry: digital transformation not only through technologies\nAbout the session:\nDigital transformation is not an end but a process and waiting for the final result is a bad move. Embracing digital technologies starts from designing the processes\, understanding the important information and the data useful to generate them. Indeed\, the Data Driven Company is the final goal and in a data driven environment different optimization possibilities (cost\, energy consumption\, reduction of losses or reuse of waste materials) can be better studied\, understood and achieved. \n \n \n \n \n \n Agenda:\nDay: April 20th 2021Schedule:  5.30 pm – 6.15 pm CEST (Brussels time) \n  \n\n5 min intro and welcome by NTT\n25 min “Advanced manufacturing technologies for improving textile product environmental and social sustainability. SUMMARY:Product certification and integration in aerospace: Best practices\, barriers and solutions for textiles in aircraft
DESCRIPTION:Product certification and integration in aerospace:Best practices\, barriers and solutions for textiles in aircraft  \n \nAbout the session:\nThe product development and integration in aerospace underlie high certification requirements. Therefore\, it is very important for new companies (SMEs) entering the aerospace market to think about the barriers and possible solutions. This webinar will focus on the creation of a successful new product or innovation in aircraft. Exploring the certification requirements\, the participants will learn about the production according to EASA Part 21/G\, the approval of design organization according to EASA Part 21/J and the necessary quality management system in the aerospace industry (EN9100). The speaker will explain the topics including best practices and examples of textiles (e.g. fire protection requirements) used in the cabin interior. The session will be closed with a Q&A session to clear up open questions. \n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n Agenda:\nDay: March 10th 2021Schedule:  11:00 – 11:45 am CET \n  \n\n5 min introduction by  SÜDERELBE\n25 min Product certification and integration in aerospace: Best practices\, barriers and solutions for textiles in aircraft by M.
